Horde-based faction of the pandaren.

the horde faction of the pandaren race diametrically opposed to the tushui pandaren which are the alliance side.

«Huo» in this context is almost definitely from Mandarin Chinese 火 (huo3) which means fire. This common character is part of many other words like train, gunpowder, and angry.

«Jin» could be a number of things, but it’s most likely 金 (jin1) which means metal. Metal doesn’t appear in Warcraft’s pantheon of elements, but it is a member of the five traditional Chinese elements (五行 wu3 xing2) when grouped with earth, water, fire, and wood. You might see the character in the (untranslated) name of many Chinese restaurants, because it also means «gold» and is included for good luck.

Note that the corresponding Alliance faction is Пандарены Тушуй which incorporates the names of the elements for earth and water (土, 水 respectively).

Also related is that the Huojin faction’s leader is named Firepaw.

Комментарий от Malvenue

I bought the tabard and did a random heroic yet I still see no reputation bar.

Комментарий от Twodotsonekb

Strange thing about this ‘dungeon faction’. As opposed to other tabards that only granted reputation when doing max level dungeons, you can get reputation towards this faction doing any dungeons it seems. I’ve been grinding them up in regular Wotlk dungeons.

Комментарий от amgyn

Gaining rep with them basically allows you to ride Pandaren mounts. eg: Поводья большой черной драконьей черепахи

(if you are not pandaren that is)

Комментарий от Erilyncypher

The quartermaster for this rep is Turtlemaster Odai, and she is in the Valley of Honor. I am posting this here as I came to this page to try to find where to purchase the tabard, and no one else seems to have mentioned this.

Комментарий от Zoeteklem

Once you get exalted with them, you can go buy your new mounts from Смотритель черепах Одай. To get exalted (unless your Pandaren), use Гербовая накидка Хоцзинь as much as possible, it fortunately does not take long to get there.

Комментарий от forsquilis

I just did the Orgrimmar cooking daily for the first time since MoP was released, and noticed that it is granting reputation with this faction. Completing С беконом все потянет gave me 69 rep (I’m in a guild with the guild perk Вы — звезда!).

I assumed that the Dalaran cooking daily would NOT provide rep since it’s not a Horde-specific zone, but thought I’d check it out since, hey, it’s cooking and pandas love that. Completing Сбор в Приюте фокусника gave me Kirin Tor rep but no Huojin Pandaren rep.

Комментарий от Raevenne

You will need to be exalted with this faction to complete Посланник пандаренов and obtain your Бечевка от пандаренского змея.

Edited to correct achievement.

Комментарий от iambigdaddy

With the tabard, you gain faction with this in all dungeons, not just Pandarian dungeons (unlike Cata factions). So, throw it on for cheevies in Northrend Heroics and score quick rep.

Комментарий от OrdrilStonemaul

Комментарий от HelloKitty

I hadn’t seen this mentioned anywhere, so I had to waste dozens of hours to figure this out.

Easiest way to grind this is to do normal/heroic UP runs. Heroic gives you a chance at the mount — but normal grant 15+ rep per kill, not to mention they can still be killed very quickly. You get the same rep in both heroic and normal UP, but that is not true of UK or some others (where you get ~3 rep per kill in normal), although I imagine HoL/HoS might award nice reputation. You can get, like, 10k-15k rep per hour with this method.

Exact numbers: On average I got 2343 rep per run where each run took 7 minutes 12 seconds. That’s ~11700 rep for ~36 minutes of work followed by 24 minutes of watching your favorite family guy episode for your instance lock to reset.

Tip with this method: Run past sorrowgrave all the way to the room with the beasts and the orb (forget the name, but its the optional beasts boss). Click on the orb to activate that fight, and then run back to handle Sorrowgrave. By the time you’ve killed sorrowgrave, a beast will get to the room. You kill it. Then you kill the next beast on your way to Skadi. Then you kill the boss when killing Skadi. Doing it this way eliminates much of the waiting for sorrowgrave/beasts.

Hope this helps people.

Комментарий от tturff

Would like to add that I’m getting rep doing BC heroics at lvl 90.

Only confirmed in Sethekk Halls. 16 per trash and 330 per boss.

Комментарий от kierant

A handy way of getting rep with this faction is to enter Shadow Labyrinth, On normal each mob gives around 6-17 rep +5-6 rep for their companions depending on whether you have the guild perk. Also while you in there you can collect the marks of sargeras and the Fel armaments that can be traded in for Aldor/Scryers rep. The instance also has 4 easy to kill bosses that award around 300 rep, being a repeatable dungeon on normal should be a favorable option for your Huojin Pandaren rep grind.

Комментарий от rogermw

You will get «spillover» rep with this faction if you do any quests that give rep with other Horde factions, but only to 5999/6000 Friendly. To get past this point, you will need to run dungeons (such as Old World or WotLK dungeons) while wearing the Huojin Pandaren tabard (available from Turtlemaster Odai in the Valley of Honor in Orgrimmar).

Комментарий от ShrekfromAzgalor

I run Stonecore in normal mode for reputation and a chance at drake from Slabhide. 17 rep per mob, 350 for bosses. Rinse and repeat. Good Luck!

If you are using the tabard for reputation:

Just so you know, I put in a ticket regarding the tabard not working in certain dungeons and this is the response I got from the GM. It seems that they do not work in dungeons that already give faction specific reputation gains.

«The city tabards actually have some hidden restrictions. They city tabards won’t work in the Burning Crusade dungeons and won’t work in the early Wrath of the Lich King dungeons. The tabard will start working again once you start doing the level 80 wrath of the lich king dungeons. «

Комментарий от Draconax

Just to verify on what another said in this thread — the single fastest way to get rep is Shadow Labyrinth, NOT Utgarde Pinnacle. I made ~3500 rep per run (3460 or so), and was able to complete the runs in under 6 mins (that’s from beginning to end, and then running all the way back out). That gives me a faster clear time than the 7ish mins it takes to clear Utgarde Pinnacle, and I made over 1k more rep per run (Roughly 17k rep per 5 runs, as that is the max you can do in an hour). UP doesn’t even compare.

Комментарий от glycereth

Don’t forget to bring speed boost items like Skull of Impending Doom, Nifty Stopwatch, Swift Boots, Swiftness Potion, etc along with you for the Shadow Lab grind!

Комментарий от ShadowQueen95

For me, I just wore the tabard in my daily Sethekk Halls run, then took a couple min, and cleared mana tombes (no Yor). Both on heroic, each run netted ~3-4k rep, and I didn’t have to change my normal routine. Though you could grind it out all 4 heroics, but walking back to the entrance took awhile. Or if you want to hit exalted really fast you could grind SKK, and MT, on norm. I didn’t mind the relaxing route. 😛

Комментарий от altm3th0d225

I still think Pandas ruined WoW

Комментарий от remid0d0s0

Another option for grinding rep is Vortex Pinnacle (Normal).

With bonuses you get about 2100 rep per complete clear. At a leisurely pace it takes ~17 minutes.

Two things are nice:

  1. You get around 30 Неустойчивый воздух, which is (still) worth 300-600g as of the end of 2013. Volatiles are still useful for making bags. That gives you 1-2k/hour in addition to whatever else drops.
  2. There’s a handy vortex at the end that will take you right back to the start.

Комментарий от grykee

My person fav for city faction rep is Shattered Halls. 17 min got me 2600 Huojin rep. And got 1630 rep with Thrallmar to boot.

Комментарий от Liaki

Like it has been said many times, Shadow Labyrinth normal is the best imo. Took me 7 minutes with speed boosts to clear it all, loot, reset instance and vendor. Keeping Marks of Sargeras or Fel Armament things grants extra Rep with Aldor/Scryers. Sold tons of cloth as well. One run = 3 and a half bars of rep on revered. Took me about 1 hour to get from friendly to exalted. If the Darkmoon Faire is on make sure to get that Rep + XP boost from the carousel for that little bit extra. As of Jan 2014 you can still get rep in level 70 normals on your level 90 character. 330xp from bosses and approx 17 rep from elites.

I think thats everything

I got the Huojin Tabard from Disciple Jusi located next to the MoP portal in Orgrimmar — and then went to Sethekk Halls and Shadow Labyrinth — Heroic mode and was getting rep for Lower City and Huojin Pandaren(15/5 for mobs and 300 for bosses). Now, the buggy thing about this is make sure the Huojin Tabard is equipped and in the tabard slot — do not just have it in your bags. I noticed it would end up in my bags each time I entered the instance and had to equip it several times. Was not in a guild at the time I was running this and went from approx 2100 — 4200 on rep. Important point — make sure you have the tabard equipped.

I’m level 49, and have been running dungeons with the Pandaren tabbard. I’m one point away from exalted… Can’t seem to get it done. Am I too little?

Комментарий от suburbanmisfits

Just a suggestion, perhaps, for those trying to grind rep.

Although Shadow Labyrinth does give the best amount of rep per run, I find it keeps things interesting to kill two birds with one stone and knock out some Слава герою achievements. Most bosses give 330 rep, you can pull entire rooms and aoe mobs down for a little extra rep, in addition to a decent amount of gold if you sell items and trash. Achievements and mounts for all! Make sure you look up mechanics to some beforehand, it will eliminate mistakes since these dungeons are heroic and you’ll have to wait a day to try again.

Just remember to pick up your tabard by the MoP portal (for horde) in the Valley of Honor. 🙂

Комментарий от Lorianus

I had the best rep/hour in Grim Batol 10 minutes per run for roughly 3800-4000 rep as a 560 ret paladin, lot of embersilk / greens for disenchant………just dont use the dragons @ the beginning, just AoE your way through

also as a + if you want to boost a lvl 82/83 just go with them into grim batol non heroic they will get half a level per run

Комментарий от FoxyYlla

Realized that the reward for Panderan Ambassador was a mount so I decided to farm out this rep. I did it very quickly by grabbing the tabard and hitting up all the Outland Heroics. But I didn’t even get to complete all of them, it went by very quickly. Just make sure you hit all the mobs. You’ll get plenty of rep.

As a bonus I got tons of Netherweave, so on my tailor I’m making bags. Lots of them.

Running UP on normal and heroic gives good rep as reported. I also found that Heroic Violet Hold and Heroic Nubian dungeons gives rep. With no boosts you can still get 10,000+ in rep. All of these are easily soloed if you are lvl 100.

Комментарий от kerrymayall

Ok, so for me, I found running older dungeons didn’t give rep for Huojin Pandaren — it would instead give reputation for Horde, of which Huojin Pandaren is a part of. I did a run through Mana Tombs this way but found the Horde rep gain didn’t affect Huojin rep. Sad panda (see what i did there?).

So off I went to Grim Batol, like somebody suggested, and now the rep was for Huojin. Yay. Looks like older dungeons are no good for this now. Didn’t try any lich king dungeons so can’t comment on that.

Комментарий от Steelhammer

I started to farm rep using the Tabard running HellFire Ramparts normal because its easy to get back to the entry and start all over, besides the fact Shadow Lab looked juicier. Weirdly, after 5999 (1 to honored), I stopped gaining reputation. I went to Utgarde Pinnacle to try continue to farm there besides the comments I read here saying wouldn’t give rep and I was able to get 15 per kill (or 300 per boss) up to exalted.

Legion Recipe: Remember to eat Bear Tartare to do the runs (needs to be level 101), way faster rep grind, a must have food for any Old Content run.

«Tu» and «shui» can be a great number of words in Mandarin Chinese, but given the context it’s very likely Blizzard selected them based on 土 (tu3) and 水 (shui3) which translate to earth and water respectively. These are two of the five Chinese traditional elements (五行 wu3 xing2) which also include wood (木), fire (火), and metal (金).

These characters form the basis of many other common words loaned from Chinese, such as the fengshui (风水) practice of arranging things harmoniously. They also appear frequently in artistic forms like the background of The Last Airbender’s opening credits.

The Horde branch of the race, Пандарены Хоцзинь, similarly derives its name from the terms for fire and metal.

These are the Pandaren that side with the Alliance after the starting area. They are led by Aysa Cloudsinger, one of the Pandaren monks who follow the Tushui technique.

Raising reputation with them will most likely enable you to buy a dragon turtle mount, the Pandaren ground mount.

So far, you can gain rep with this faction by doing the cooking daily in Stormwind. I will assume the same is for Orgrimmar.

I have not checked to see if the cooking dailies in Darnassus and Ironforge (and therefore, Undercity and Thunder Bluff) also give rep. Also, I do not know at what level you start gaining rep or if you have to have completed anything in order to get it (I am currently level 88 and have gone as far as I can with the Tillers until I hit 90).

I’ve been going back to old world quests, and it seems like the quests that used to grant the generic «Alliance» rep (which distributed out to the cities) applies to Tushui now. Small gains, to be sure, but the same doesn’t appear to be true for Gilneas (they both appear under Alliance, but I’m only getting Tushui).

Edit: If you’re Friendly or below, you should get spillover from Alliance for Gilneas as well. I didn’t realize I was already Honored.

It’s worth a small but honorable mention, that many classic dungeons will also give you rep for this faction if you are wearing the tabard.

Комментарий от HelloKitty

I posted this over on the page for Пандарены Хоцзинь. It’s seemed to have helped a lot of people, so I’m copying it here in case anyone can get any use of it:

Addendum: A replier also mentioned that running normal mode Shadow Vaults is also very fast, because of how long it is and how many mobs it has (you can get more rep per run, even though runs take longer, since you end up getting locked out anyway).

Up to you.

Комментарий от Craxen

I found a very good way to farm reputation with these. Running Halls of Lightning in Storm Peaks over and over.

1. Theres plenty of mobs literally in the whole instance. They dont hit hard and you can pull A LOT.

2. You get the same amount of repuation in normal as you get in Heroic mode. Per mob you get 18 rep ( as human ) + guild perk and 360 per boss. Using your guild banner gives you even more.

3. I suggest you use the banner ( too bad it has 10 min cd, but when you can ) in the first room. Together with all mobs + the patroling boss is the best time to use the banner. I did a fast calculate and theres around 30-40 mobs + the boss around the first area.

Once you are done you run out, reset, and start over. Took me a few hours only to reach exalted.

Happy farming!

Edit: Dont forge to loot trash / greens etc. I also made a few thousands of gold on the runs as well.

No one else seems to have said it, but this faction is pretty much absent from most of Pandaria and I find that to be quite a disappointment. Perhaps Blizzard has something up their sleeves for a later patch, but as of right now any of the other factions (even the Tillers) could be considered more important than this ‘member’ of the Alliance in my opinion.

Комментарий от Ladylock81

I’m currently farming this rep at level 100 and I wanted to provide some updated information.

It’s worth noting I’m human — so if you are not you will get slightly less. I did not use banner of cooperation. Im ilvl 632 — but I imagine it’s entirely possible to do with less.

I did not test TBC Heroics.

Cata heroics no longer give full rep in heroic mode: 88 rep her boss, 3 to 22 rep per dungeon mob. Average rep per dungeon is 500 rep.

Since it’s been possible to solo MOP heroics for sometime now here is what I’ve found. Ill only go into specifics on the best ones I found:

Shado-pan Monastary :
4 Bosses and ample trash packs. Your gains here will depend on what class you play and how much time you want to spend killing trash and if you have immunities which will allow you to click the Slain Shado-Pan Defender without being interrupted so you can kill the trash packs around it. Without clicking this mob, the others will not die so keep that in mind ( even at level 100) . The Ethereal Sha’s and Diciples give no rep — everything else does. As a Paladin I bubbled and clicked the Slain Shado-Pan Defenders in each pack and was therefore able to kill everything in this instance. I also released the additional sha’s on Sha on Violence. In total I got 3256 rep for one run.

Scholomance: 5 Bosses and ample trash packs. There are no mechanics in this dungeon which require immunities to kill trash. I will note though that since you do not kill Lillian Voss she gives no rep. Instructor Slade only gives 22 rep. On the Chillheart fight kill the trash before you engage the boss, I lost out on approximately 300 rep from not doing this as she kills them when she is engaged. Despite these little quirks I still got 2842 Rep, but more is possible if you don’t mess up on Chillheart.

Seige of Niuzao 3 Bosses, but alot of trash. You will need to focus down the Amber Weavers so you don’t get caught in sap. The trash for Commander Vo’Jak during his encounter does not give rep. Battle Menders need to be focused or interrupted. Sik-Thik Soldiers gave 5 rep and everything else gave 22. In total I got 3301 Rep in here.

At this point I got exalted so I could not test all of them in this detail, but I chose the dungeons based on the number of bosses and trash packs from experience doing them in MOP. Scarlet Halls probably would of been another very good one with all the trash packs. I would suggest doing this one as well.

I will note that the monkeys before Ook-Ook and the bunnies before Hoptalus do not provide rep in Stormstout Brewery. In general I think any mass spawning of mobs during or before a boss encounter or not likely to provide rep at all.

The best way to get rep for Tushui is doing MOP heroics. It’s not worth only clearing trash and resetting as some of the trash packs are gated behind boss kills. You can also farm normal modes and you will get roughly the same rep as doing a cata heroic for rep.

I didn’t test rep gains while I was in WOD Dungeons.

Комментарий от Dianora

The best instance I found for rep grinding are Scholomance, and the two Scarlet dungeons. Took me 2 days to go from honored to exalted, those two instances goes faster.

Комментарий от Neriand

Fastest way to gain Exalted status with this faction, is to have the Tabard equipped, then running Gate of the Setting Sun on Normal difficulty over and over again. You can easily get 12000+ Reputation each hour with this.

Shadow Labyrinth 3,140

The Underbog 2,880
The Steamvault 2,735
The Mechanar 2,595
The Shattered Halls 2,560
The Arcatraz 2,123
Sethekk Halls 2,025
Hellfire Ramparts —
The Blood Furnace —
The Slave Pens —
Mana-Tombs —
Auchenai Crypts —

The bottom 5 must be ran on Heroic to receive any Rep.

Комментарий от Elodeon

Heroic Upper Blackrock Spire gives 5654 reputation if you kill everything in there (including in particular the trapped whelps that you need to release). A full run takes 15 minutes, including travel from Dalaran (Broken Shore) via Stormwind, and then hearthing back (if you’re Alliance). It’s not a good option to grind everything in a day, but can be practical otherwise.

You can speed up Tharbek by going behind the gates that open and close, to kill the mobs as soon as they spawn. If you do this, don’t forget to go back into the main room when the boss spawns. After the gate closes for the last time, there’s no way out of the spawn room.

Interestingly not required for Ambassador of the Alliance, but required for Pandaren Ambassador. This *might* have a *direct correlation* with the fact that Aysa and Ji, (the leaders of the Pandaren who joined the Alliance and the Horde, respectively), are in a couple and just hanging out in the Wandering Isle, not caring at all for this quote-on-quote war.

Molten Core is pretty good for rep gain. Trash is 15-20 rep each. Bosses are 100-200 rep.

Reputation Grind
  1. Buy Tushui Tabard from Adherent Hanjun for 10 Silver in Stormwind.
  2. Equip Tabard!
  3. Make sure it is equipped as you run dungeons, LFD is a great way to find a run.

Bit of updated info as a 120 ilevel360 BM Hunter farming this rep. i found no dungeons that awarded more rep then others (Vanilla to Legion), altho i did find Shado-Pan Monestry and Seige of Niuzao had more mobs, closer together for easy mode farming. I keybound target to ‘T’ and multi-shot to 5, it would take me 7 to 10 mins for a clear. Run a few during MoP Timewalking, received about 2.5k rep per run. 20 rep for trash and 400 rep for bosses.

Edit: the best lower level dungeons i found were deadmines and stormwind stockade. 3-4 rep each for trash. 60 for a boss in SS and 80 in Deadmines.

Observations from my usual dungeon mount/gear runs;

No tabard rep gains whatsoever from raids:
* Molten Core (60)
* Blackwing Lair (60)
* Karazhan (70)

Tabard rep gains from Zul Gurub (85) dungeon:
4 for mobs
80 for bosses

You get 300 rep per legion dungeon boss, even on normal (at level 120), but nothing from trash.
